The Institutional Data Senior Specialist reports to the Planning and Development Director and works closely with all ASU colleges, administrative departments, and external stakeholders to manage institutional data functions. The role ensures effective data collection, management, and reporting to support strategic planning, institutional performance monitoring, and decision-making. This position is critical to maintaining data quality, integrity, and timely reporting in alignment with university policies and strategic priorities.
- Design, implement, and maintain systems for collecting and managing institutional data aligned with university policies, Strategic Plan KPIs, and reporting requirements.

Prepare institutional reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support strategic planning, performance monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making.

Coordinate and ensure timely submission of accurate data to internal units and external stakeholders, including providing data for accreditation purposes when requested by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department (QAA).

Develop and maintain monitoring tools to track strategic and operational performance, providing actionable insights to senior management.

Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with privacy and security standards.

Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate efficient data sharing, collaboration, and standardization of reporting formats.

Provide training and guidance to staff on data management best practices, tools, and compliance requirements.

Support the integration of institutional data into university-wide performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience in roles focused on institutional data management, reporting, and follow-up procedures. This experience should include effectively liaising with diverse stakeholders to contribute to achieving institutional objectives through collaborative, data-driven efforts.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency preferred.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics (preferred), or a related discipline such as Data Science, or Information Management
