Institutional Sales Analyst

About HSBC:

HSBC Saudi Arabia provides investment banking services to the full spectrum of corporate and institutional clients in both the private and government sectors, including public companies; private companies and establishments; funds; government agencies; and family businesses and offices.

Job Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)

The role will be important to manage and oversee the delivery of all below. While also training and developing junior sales on the team.

  • Cash Equities:
  • Grow the business from existing clients and bring in new clients
  • Regularly review client base and ensure they meet HSBC criteria (Commission rates, annual revenue, etc)
  • Track client onboarding’s and support where needed
  • Build strong relationships with clients/potential clients
  • Improve our ranking as a broker amongst clients
  • Increase market share across client segments
  • Arrange and cross blocks in line with group standards and ensure compliance with regulations at all time.
  • Non Cash Equities: Support in the development of the client base and distributions of non-cash equities (Fixed Income, Short Selling. HBEU Products into Saudi, derivatives, and others)
  • Primary offerings (DCM and ECM):
  • Build the platform: bring in group best practices and standards when it comes to the distribution of primary offerings across multi assets.
  • Map the client base for DCM and ECM deals
  • Work closely with GB when needed to ensure successful execution of deals.
  • Improving our back bone: Work closely with our support functions to identify and resolve any issues (Onboarding, IT, Operations, etc). Assist when needed
  • Client satisfaction : Sales executive has account management responsibilities of clients, ensuring their clients receive the right level of service from HSBC.
  • Assist in Corporate Access : Be able to grow, improve and deliver our corporate access capabilities in Saudi Arabia
  • Business development : Assist in projects related to developing of the overall business
  • Research Distribution and Analyst Marketing : Ensure institutional clients are receiving what they need from research and meet analysts.
  • Risk & Errors: Manage the risk related to all sales/sales trading activities and report by following HSBC process.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Conduct: Ensure all activities are done in accordance to HSBC standards and do not breach and local compliance or regulations.
  • MI Reporting and Management Updates: Provide management with regular updates about strategy and performance of the platform.
