Description:

The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for an Instructional Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track) position in Atmospheric Science. Applicants with demonstrated experience in teaching classes in any subfields of atmospheric sciences will be considered.

Successful candidates are expected to contribute to the success of our degree programs by teaching introductory courses and overseeing laboratory sections for courses assigned. Candidates are encouraged to develop experiential opportunities for students such as field trips and to develop course materials that encourage critical reasoning and problem solving.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in atmospheric science, meteorology, or a closely related discipline at the time of the appointment.
