Job Description:
Location: Raleigh, NC
Reports to: US IA Training Manager
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing high‑quality digital learning content, managing Learning Management System (LMS) activities, and producing engaging instructional videos to support Schneider Electric’s Industrial Automation Business Unit. This role focuses on creating effective online training solutions using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia, ensuring that training materials align with business goals, learner needs, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop digital learning content including e‑learning modules, videos, instructor‑led materials, job aids, and assessments

Create interactive online courses using Articulate Storyline

Produce high‑quality instructional videos including scripting, recording, editing, and graphics integration

Administer LMS activities such as course creation, user enrollment, reporting, troubleshooting, and data maintenance

Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy and instructional effectiveness

Evaluate training effectiveness using surveys, analytics, and assessments to recommend improvements

Ensure all course materials align with Schneider Electric brand and compliance standards

Maintain documentation, version control, and content updates for ongoing curriculum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field

3+ years of experience designing and developing digital learning content, preferably in a corporate or technical environment

Strong proficiency with Articulate Storyline or similar online learning development platform

Experience using video tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or similar software

Hands‑on experience administering Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle, SuccessFactors)

Experience and/or willingness to become a Cornerstone On-Demand (CSOD) LMS Administrator

Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging learning materials

Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills

Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards and digital learning best practices

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Travel Required: Minimal travel (up to 10%) may be required for filming, workshops, or project collaboration.
