Instructor - Japanese Language

Job Purpose:

To deliver effective Japanese language instruction that equips students with essential communication skills and prepares them for global employment opportunities, in line with THF’s focus on skills development and quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver structured Japanese language lessons.
  • Teach core language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing (including Hiragana, Katakana, and basic Kanji).
  • Prepare students for internationally recognized proficiency levels (e.g., JLPT N5–N3 or higher).
  • Design lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
  • Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain student records including attendance, performance, and feedback.
  • Create an engaging and interactive classroom environment.
  • Integrate technology and modern teaching methodologies into instruction.
  • Support co-curricular activities such as cultural sessions and language clubs.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure quality delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Certification in Japanese language proficiency (minimum JLPT N3; N2 preferred).
  • 1–3 years of teaching experience (preferably in an academic or vocational setup).
  • Fresh candidates with strong language proficiency may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong command of spoken and written Japanese.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach diverse groups of students effectively.
  • Classroom management and engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
