Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented Instrument and Control Designer to join our team. The role involves preparing and reviewing instrumentation and control system layouts, wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams for oil & gas and petrochemical projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work remotely while attending key site visits and meetings near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and review instrumentation layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and control panel drawings.

· Assist in developing P&IDs, instrument index, and I/O lists in coordination with process teams.

· Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and international standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.).

· Support preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTO) and instrumentation specifications.

· Collaborate with electrical, process, and mechanical teams for integrated design solutions.

· Review vendor documents and ensure compatibility with project requirements.

· Provide technical support during installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems.

· Participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies to ensure system safety and reliability.

· Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records for instrumentation and control systems.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Electronics Engineering.

· 3–8 years of experience as an instrumentation and control designer in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

· Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SPI, AVEVA tools, or equivalent tools.

· Knowledge of international instrumentation design codes and standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.).

· Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems design documentation.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per month
