Instrument Technician (Fragrance Manufacturing)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Instrumentation Technician for our fragrance manufacturing facility in Sharjah who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing industrial instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe, accurate and efficient plant operations.
NB:- Only candidates with relevant experience within the fragrance industry will be shortlisted.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems
• Maintain control valves, actuators, and positioners
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines
• Calibrate instruments using standard calibration tools and document results
• Ensure instruments comply with plant standards, safety requirements and accuracy limits
• Maintain calibration records and reports as per ISO / GMP requirements
• Diagnose and rectify faults in PLC, DCS, SCADA and control loops
• Troubleshoot wiring, sensors, transmitters and panels
• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams during breakdowns
• Follow plant safety rules, PTW systems and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ensure instrumentation systems comply with safety and regulatory standards
• Support audits and inspections (ISO, GMP, HSE, etc.)
• Maintain instrumentation drawings, loop diagrams, and maintenance logs
• Prepare daily maintenance and breakdown reports
• Update spare parts consumption and requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in fragrance manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's or Diploma or ITI in Instrumentation, Electronics or related field
• Expertise in industrial instruments and control systems
• Hands-on experience in pneumatic instrumentation systems, including control valves, actuators, solenoid valves, air regulators and positioners
• PLC operation and basic programming knowledge, including monitoring, troubleshooting and I/O checks
• Strong understanding of industrial automation concepts, control loops, interlocks and process automation
• Experience in automation systems integration and coordination with electrical and mechanical teams
• Knowledge of Gas Chromatography (GC) instrumentation for process monitoring and quality control is a strong added advantage
• Ability to install, maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments and related accessories.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pneumatic, PLC operating and Automation concept: 5 years (Preferred)
• Fragrance Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• UAE Driving License (Preferred)
