Instrumentation & Control Engineer - Scale Large-Scale Power Plant

Join a leading O&M organization and lead Instrumentation & Control systems for a large-scale power plant. This role offers the opportunity to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance across critical plant operations, supporting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll do
  • Supervise preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance of all Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for I&C faults, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct technical evaluations for new equipment, materials, and system modifications.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance plant availability and reliability.
  • Coordinate with EPC/OEM contractors to resolve technical issues and align with operational requirements.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and support design modifications for system improvement.
  • Manage I&C maintenance documentation and ensure data integrity within SAP CMMS.
  • Forecast manpower, materials, and spare part needs for annual maintenance and outages.
  • Promote HSSE culture by ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance methods and asset reliability.
What we're looking for
  • Engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in I&C maintenance for power generation or water desalination plants, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with Combined Cycle Power Plants highly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems, process control, and CMMS (SAP preferred).
  • Proven experience conducting major outages for critical control systems.
  • Solid understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance principles and problem solving tools.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities, with a commitment to HSSE excellence.
