The UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is primarily responsible for repair, maintenance and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with various vehicle testing facilities at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds.
This position will provide exposure to a broad range of electronic troubleshooting/repair/calibration and builds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLCs, industrial controls, and demonstrated trouble-shooting skills. Other duties may include general bench work building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test instrumentation boxes, calibrating various sensors and meters, network / PC troubleshooting and repairs.
Basic Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED
A certificate in electronics engineering/technology or equivalent
A minimum of 1 year in troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation, sensors, other test equipment
Motivated to work both independently and as a part of a team
Flexibility in providing necessary support when required
Good communication skills with all levels of colleagues in the organization
Basic computer skills with email, Microsoft Office usage etc.
Valid Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree in electronics engineering/technology or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of electronics
Experience working with PLCs, AC/DC drives, industrial controls, data acquisition boxes/loggers, calibrations of sensors
