Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the installation, commissioning, and periodic calibration of field instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, level transmitters, and temperature sensors throughout the production facility.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automation and control systems including PLCs, SCADA interfaces, and DCS platforms that support critical glass manufacturing processes like melting, forming, annealing, and packaging.
- Ensure instrumentation systems adhere to internal engineering standards and comply with regulatory requirements related to quality (ISO), safety, and environmental performance.
- Support reliability initiatives by implementing and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance routines to minimize process disruptions and extend asset lifespan.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to integrate instrumentation into broader plant systems, ensuring smooth and synchronized operations.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including calibration records, maintenance logs, fault reports, and service histories for audit and operational purposes.
- Participate in the planning and execution of instrumentation-related capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including equipment upgrades, expansions, and new system installations.
- Evaluate existing process control strategies and assist in deploying control system improvements to enhance operational consistency, energy efficiency, and product quality.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during plant shutdowns, inspections, audits, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance readiness.
