Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, configuration, calibration, and routine maintenance of field instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, and flow sensors/transmitters across all stages of production.
- Oversee the functionality and reliability of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) used in glass melting, forming, annealing, and packaging operations.
- Ensure all instruments and control systems meet company specifications and comply with applicable ISO standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies aimed at reducing unplanned downtime and extending equipment life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical departments, to maintain optimal performance of integrated control systems.
- Document all instrumentation activities including maintenance schedules, calibration data, fault diagnostics, and repair history for regulatory and operational reference.
- Assist in the planning, budgeting, and implementation of capital projects related to instrumentation upgrades or new installations.
- Identify opportunities for process control enhancements and support the deployment of improvements to boost plant efficiency, reduce variability, and improve product quality.
- Provide hands-on support during plant outages, inspections, audits, and modernization efforts, ensuring instrumentation readiness and compliance.
