Responsibilities:
-
Ensure full compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and site safety procedures
-
Lead and supervise field instrumentation activities across plant operations and shutdowns
-
Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation and control systems
-
Supervise execution quality of instrumentation works during major shutdowns and planned maintenance
-
Own instrumentation reliability performance and support defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Plan, execute, and optimize
preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
for instrumentation systems
-
Diagnose and resolve faults related to PLC, SCADA, DCS, and associated field instrumentation
-
Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, control drawings, and technical documentation
-
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Projects teams to ensure effective execution
-
Ensure accurate maintenance records, calibration reports, and technical documentation are maintained
-
Support internal projects by providing instrumentation expertise during design review, site execution, commissioning, and handover, ensuring safe integration and long-term reliability of plant systems
Qualification Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
-
Formal training or certification in industrial instrumentation, calibration, and control systems is preferred
-
Good working knowledge of process plant instrumentation and control systems
-
Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and site safety management systems
-
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, cause & effect charts, and control drawings
-
Familiarity with plant maintenance systems (e.g., SAP PM / CMMS) is an advantage
Experience and Skills Requirements:
-
Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in field instrumentation maintenance within mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments
-
Supervisory-level experience leading field instrumentation activities during operations, breakdowns, and major shutdowns
-
Strong hands-on expertise in calibration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of process instrumentation
-
Proven experience with pressure, flow, level, temperature, and analytical instruments
-
Solid working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems and their interface with field instrumentation
-
Demonstrated ownership of instrumentation reliability performance, including defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, cause & effect charts, and control drawings
-
Experience supporting internal Capex and Opex projects, including site execution and commissioning
-
Strong safety leadership with experience working under permit-to-work, isolation, and risk assessment systems

Effective communication and coordination skills to work with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Projects teams
