Job Summary

Responsible for supervising, installing, testing, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of water flow meters, instrumentation systems, transmitters, control panels, and associated equipment for TAQA water infrastructure projects in compliance with TAQA standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, replacement, testing, and commissioning of water flow meters and instrumentation systems.
• Perform calibration and configuration of flow meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and related instruments.
• Review P&IDs, wiring diagrams, instrument hook-up drawings, and control panel layouts before execution.
• Coordinate with TAQA inspectors, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams for approvals and inspections.
• Ensure all instrumentation works comply with TAQA standards, specifications, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Monitor installation of RTU, AMR/AMI systems, SCADA integration, and communication systems.
• Carry out troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance of field instruments and control systems.
• Supervise testing activities including loop checks, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection requests, calibration certificates, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure proper cable laying, gland termination, instrument tubing, and panel installation works.
• Verify material approvals and ensure usage of approved instrumentation materials.
• Support shutdown activities and coordinate system isolation/restoration works.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, manpower, and project progress to achieve scheduled targets.
• Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in water utility, water treatment, or infrastructure projects in UAE.
• TAQA / ADDC approved engineer preferred.
• Hands-on experience in water flow meter installation, calibration, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLC, RTU, AMR/AMI systems, and telemetry integration.
• Familiarity with TAQA standards, HSE regulations, and QA/QC procedures.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and electrical drawings.
• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• UAE Driving License preferred.

• Ensure proper isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and site safety standards throughout project execution.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
