Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Instrumentation, Telecom & ELT Technician as part of a tender submission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, telecom, electronic low-voltage (ELT), and control systems within oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial facilities, including solar power plant installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, telecom, and ELT systems.
- Maintain and support Process Alarm & Gas Alarm (PAGA) systems.
- Operate and maintain TETRA radio, VHF/UHF radio communication systems, and associated networks.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Audio Visual systems, CCTV cameras, Access Control Systems, and communication networks.
- Support operation and maintenance of SCADA and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Maintain and troubleshoot Driver Virtual Simulator Systems (where applicable).
- Perform maintenance on SMART field instruments, including:
- Flow meters
- Level transmitters
- Temperature transmitters
- Motorized valves
- Solenoid valves
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA systems, traffic light systems, vibration monitoring systems, and Fire & Gas systems.
- Support weather monitoring stations associated with solar power plants.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, OEM manuals, and approved maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, calibration records, and maintenance reports.
- Follow all HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Three-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as an Instrumentation / Telecom / ELT Technician.
- Proven experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Telecom and ELT systems
- SCADA, PLCs, and BMS
- Fire & Gas and PAGA systems
Skills & Knowledge
- Familiarity with international instrumentation, telecom, and safety system codes and standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Language Skills
- Good spoken English skills are mandatory.
