About the Role

We’re searching for driven, entrepreneurial-minded individuals to join The Darian Taliaferro Agency as Agents in Training. This role is much more than a sales opportunity—it’s a launchpad toward future agency ownership. You’ll gain hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, and access to the renowned University of Farmers to help you develop the skills and business expertise needed to potentially own a Farmers Insurance agency.

As an Agent in Training, you’ll work directly with Darian Taliaferro, an accomplished agency owner, to master the essentials of building and managing a successful insurance business. You’ll receive comprehensive instruction in sales, client relations, operations, and leadership—laying the groundwork for your future as an agency owner.

You’ll help clients protect what matters most—across Auto, Home, Life, Business, and Specialty lines—while expanding your own knowledge, building confidence, and growing your client network to prepare for leadership opportunities down the line.

This career track starts with intensive training and support, culminating in the chance to own and operate a Farmers Insurance agency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture a client base through networking, prospecting, and community involvement

• Deliver personalized insurance recommendations tailored to individual client needs

• Build enduring client relationships through ongoing communication and policy reviews

• Achieve and exceed sales goals with a focus on long-term customer satisfaction

• Learn and apply both operational and strategic components of agency management

• Stay up to date with industry trends and Farmers Insurance offerings

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for agency ownership

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

• Willingness to obtain (or current possession of) state insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health)

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
