Responsibilities

- Analyze claim details using financial software and industry tools to determine appropriate coverage and settlement amounts.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, vendors, and other stakeholders to reach mutually agreeable resolutions efficiently.
- Detect potential fraud through analysis skills and fraud prevention techniques, ensuring the integrity of the claims process.
- Maintain organized records of all claim activities, correspondence, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with legal teams to interpret workers' compensation law and ensure claims adhere to regulatory standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, empathetically, and professionally with policyholders throughout the claims process.
Experience
- Proven experience as an insurance claims adjuster or in a related role within the insurance industry.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data and legal documents related to workers’ compensation law.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and financial software used in claims management.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate fair settlements while maintaining positive relationships.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation procedures, law, and best practices for fraud detection.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
