Insurance Defense Attorney (Tampa - REMOTE!)

Boutique, reputable Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated Attorney with at least 2+ years of experience with bodily injury insurance defense to join its TAMPA office. (This is a 100% REMOTE position but you MUST live within 1 hour of Tampa due to in person court hearings, mediations, etc.).

MUST HAVE LOTS OF EXPERIENCE WITH EUOs and/or DEPOSITIONS as well as COURT HEARINGS.

IDEAL CANDIDATE will have 2 + years experience in 1 or more of these practice areas IN FLORIDA: Bodily Injury Defense, insurance defense litigation, general liability, professional liability, wrongful death, car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, negligent security, medical malpractice, toxic torts, construction accidents, and/or products liability.

JOB DUTIES include defending both low and high-value cases from initial pleadings, written discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials. Should have strong research and writing skills, including using WestLaw and Lexis. Will be expected to meet with clients, respond to demand letters, prep for court hearings, substantive motions, preparing MSJs (and responses), writing detailed legal memos, status reports to carriers, settlement negotiations, and managing all files assigned to you. Should be able to prepare for, and take/defend fact and expert witness depositions, as well as party depos. Experience with billable hours is preferred. Experience with trying cases and preparing for jury trials is preferred.
