We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal with 4–5+ years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while meeting monthly billing goals.
Responsibilities:
- Handle insurance defense matters with minimal supervision
- Order and obtain records via subpoena (DWQ) and FOIA requests
- Review and analyze medical records, including preparation of medical chronologies and paid vs. incurred charts
- Draft pleadings, including answers and motions
- E-file with Texas state and federal courts
- Interview clients, drivers, and witnesses
- Communicate effectively with courts and opposing counsel
- Schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Bill time accurately and consistently to meet 130+ hours per month
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4–5 years of insurance defense experience
- Strong knowledge of Texas and federal court e-filing systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
