Insurance Manager

DOC Medical Center is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager responsible for leading the insurance function, streamlining patient insurance claims and recovery processes, and ensuring effective coordination with insurance companies. The role is accountable for optimizing reimbursements, enhancing patient satisfaction, overseeing insurance operations, and developing, implementing, and monitoring insurance policies, protocols, and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

Educational qualification: MBBS/BDS/B. Sc. Nursing/B. Pharm

15+ years of healthcare insurance experience within Qatar and/or GCC countries.

Minimum 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role

CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification preferred but not mandatory

Strong knowledge about medical insurance system within state of Qatar

Proven leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills

Familiarity with insurance software

Good understanding of insurance management, requirement and dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end insurance operations, claims administration, and payer management.

Manage provider agreements, contract negotiations, and insurance network relationships.

Oversee claims submission, adjudication follow-up, reconciliations, and reimbursement optimization.

Monitor claim denials, disallowances, resubmissions, and revenue recovery performance.

Ensure compliance with payer policies, regulatory requirements, and insurance protocols.

Lead and develop the insurance team to achieve claims and revenue cycle targets.

Analyze insurance KPIs, rejection trends, and payer performance metrics.

Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams to improve collections and reduce write-offs.

Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and payer relationship management.
