Doctors of Internal Medicine is a fast-growing, multi-provider internal medicine practice serving patients across North Texas. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while creating an efficient, supportive environment for both staff and providers.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our administrative team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients receive accurate insurance information before their visit and helps keep our clinics running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage prior to scheduled appointments
• Confirm eligibility, benefits, copays, deductibles, and referral requirements
• Communicate insurance coverage information to front desk and billing teams
• Identify coverage issues and notify appropriate staff prior to patient appointments
• Work closely with scheduling, front office, and billing departments to ensure accurate patient information
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance plans and payer requirements
• Review daily schedules to ensure patients are verified in advance
• Assist with resolving insurance discrepancies and patient account issues when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical insurance verification or medical office administration
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, and managed care plans
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple provider schedules

Preferred Experience

• Internal Medicine or multi-specialty practice experience
• Familiarity with insurance portals and eligibility tools
• Understanding of prior authorizations and referral processes

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
