Position: Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist
Location: Wapda Town, Lahore

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Verification & Authorization Specialist to join our medical billing team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate verification of patient insurance coverage, obtaining required pre-authorizations, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support efficient billing and claims processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of payer requirements, while thriving in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Verification & Eligibility

• Verify patient insurance benefits using payer portals and direct communication with insurance representatives.
• Maintain accurate and current eligibility information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (e.g., eClinicalWorks).
• Complete and upload insurance verification documentation promptly for all new patients.
• Professionally communicate estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients.
• Escalate unresolved coverage issues or financial discrepancies to the Patient Collections team.
• Follow up proactively with patients to obtain missing or updated insurance information.

Authorizations & Compliance

• Obtain prior authorizations for services requiring insurer approval.
• Ensure adherence to Medicaid and other payer-specific authorization guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Patient Services team to manage out-of-network insurance cases.
• Secure authorizations for psychological evaluations while maintaining accurate documentation and system alerts.

Operational Support & Coordination

• Assist with urgent or same-day appointment scheduling as needed.
• Report updates regarding payer policies, billing discrepancies, and provider network changes.
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager to resolve incomplete patient intake documentation.
• Participate in regular team meetings to optimize workflows, maintain accuracy, and support continuous process improvements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
