Job Summary:
Altor Hospitals is seeking detail-oriented and efficient Insurance Coordinators to manage all aspects of health insurance processes including pre-authorizations, claim submissions, and TPA communications. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of insurance-related matters, supporting both patients and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle pre-authorization requests and approvals for inpatient and day-care procedures from insurance companies/TPAs.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation for insurance claims as per the policy requirements.
- Coordinate with patients, consultants, and TPA representatives for documentation, clarifications, and follow-ups.
- Submit claims (manual and electronic) in a timely manner and track claim status.
- Address claim queries, rejections, and discrepancies; ensure prompt resubmission or corrections as needed.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients at the time of admission.
- Liaise with billing, admissions, and discharge teams to ensure smooth insurance processing.
- Maintain updated knowledge of various insurance policies, packages, and TPA protocols.
- Generate daily reports on pending approvals, submitted claims, and settled claims.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient confidentiality, and insurance standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Healthcare Administration, Commerce, or Insurance).
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital insurance/TPA coordination role.
- Strong understanding of health insurance policies, TPA procedures, and claim processing.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language.
- Attention to detail, analytical ability, and customer service mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office and Hospital Management Systems (HMS).

- Regular day shifts with extended hours or weekend duties as required by the billing cycle.
