PRIMARY FOCUS: Patient & Provider Phone Intake | Growth-Oriented Role
We are seeking a highly dependable, detail-driven Intake Pharmacy Technician whose primary responsibility will be managing incoming phone calls from patients and providers.
This is not a passive call center role. You are the front line of patient care and operational accuracy. Every call impacts workflow, compliance, and patient outcomes.
This position begins with a strong focus on phone triage, prescription intake, and documentation accuracy. As proficiency, certification, and trust are demonstrated, there is opportunity to expand into insurance billing, prescription order entry, compounding workflow support, and other advanced pharmacy responsibilities.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters more than shortcuts, and you see pressure as something to manage—not spread—this role may be a strong fit

Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally, and confidently.

Communicate accurate information to patients and providers.
-
Recognize when escalation to a supervisor or pharmacist is required.

-
Maintain awareness of legal responsibilities under state and federal pharmacy regulations.
-
Maintain a calm, professional tone even during high call volume.
-
Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
-
Represent the pharmacy with professionalism in every interaction.
Based on performance, certification, and demonstrated accuracy, the role may expand to include:
-
Insurance billing and rejection resolution
-
Processing complex and noncomplex compounds
-
Pointofsale transactions and AR account processing
-
Packaging, shipping, and delivery coordination
-
Workflow optimization and task queue management
Advancement is performance-based. Accuracy, reliability, and ownership of outcomes open doors.

-
Strong organizational and documentation skills
-
Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams
-
Highly dependable attendance and work ethic
-
Ability to lift packages as needed
Experience in non-sterile compounding and insurance billing is preferred but not required for entry into the intake-focused role.
-
Accuracy, safety, and patient outcomes come before speed or convenience.
-
Performancebased rewards and growth opportunities.
-
Everyone is responsible for outcomes — not just assigned tasks.
-
We work under pressure without creating pressure.
-
Continuous improvement and learning are expected, not optional.
This is a role for someone who understands that every detail matters, every call matters, and every outcome matters.
