We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) professional
with 1-4 years of experience to support and manage the organization's intellectual property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to IP prosecution, documentation, research, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsels. This role is well-suited for someone who is passionate about innovation, legal research, and protecting intellectual assets across patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the drafting, filing, prosecution, and maintenance of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and design applications in India and international jurisdictions.

Conduct prior art searches, patentability assessments, trademark searches, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis.

Coordinate with inventors, business teams, and external IP attorneys to gather technical and legal inputs for filings.

Track deadlines, renewal dates, oppositions, responses, and compliance requirements related to IP assets.

Support IP portfolio management, including record-keeping, reporting, and status updates.

Assist in handling office actions, examination reports, oppositions, and responses under supervision.

Monitor potential IP infringements, assist in enforcement actions, and support litigation-related documentation.

Support IP due diligence activities for partnerships, licensing, mergers, or acquisitions.

Stay updated with changes in IP laws, rules, and regulations, and assist in internal knowledge sharing.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Science, or a related field; LL.B. or specialized IP certification is a plus.

1-4 years of relevant experience in intellectual property rights, IP law firms, corporate legal teams, or IP consultancies.

Basic understanding of Patent Act, Trademark Act, Copyright Act, and international IP frameworks.

Experience with IP filings, docketing systems, and IP databases (e.g., WIPO, USPTO, IPO, EPO).

Strong legal research, analytical, and documentation skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and legal documentation tools.
