Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Interior Design Accountant to manage the financial operations of our interior design projects. The role involves budgeting, project cost tracking, invoicing, financial reporting, and close coordination with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Cost Management

• Prepare and manage project budgets for interior design projects
• Track expenses related to materials, labor, and project execution
• Analyze cost variances and suggest cost-saving measures

Invoicing & Billing

• Prepare and manage accurate client invoices based on project milestones
• Resolve billing queries and discrepancies with clients
• Follow up on payments and manage overdue accounts

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Analyze project-wise financial performance and profitability
• Share regular financial updates with management and stakeholders

Accounting & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations
• Support audits and maintain proper documentation

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant (interior design or construction industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of project-based accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills to work with designers, project teams, and clients
