Interior Design Assistant

<Job Summary>

<Duties>

• Assist in developing interior design concepts using software tools such as SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and Adobe Creative Suite to produce compelling visual presentations and detailed drawings.
• Prepare accurate drafting, floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models that reflect project specifications and client preferences.
• Support project management activities by coordinating schedules, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of design phases.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors on lighting sales, fixtures, materials, and finishes to ensure seamless integration into the overall design.
• Contribute to lighting design and selection processes, incorporating color theory principles to create harmonious environments.
• Assist with renovation and remodeling projects by reviewing construction documents, contracts, and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Participate in site visits for construction oversight, quality control, and troubleshooting during renovation or remodeling phases.
• Support the preparation of presentation materials that clearly communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.

<Experience>

• Proven experience or internship in interior design or related fields with familiarity using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (3ds Max), Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong drafting skills with an understanding of architectural detailing and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of color theory, lighting design principles, CAD standards, and interior design best practices.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret client needs into creative solutions while adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Familiarity with contracts related to interior projects as well as renovation processes from planning through construction phases.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members effectively. Pay: $150.00 - $230.15 per day
