Interior Design Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Interior Design Assistant to support our design team in delivering innovative and functional interior spaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on diverse projects, including renovations, remodeling, and lighting design, while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Assist in developing conceptual designs and detailed drawings
• Prepare presentation materials and mood boards incorporating color theory and lighting design principles.
• Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors.
• Contribute to drafting and documentation for contracts, construction plans, and remodeling projects.
• Collaborate with the team on lighting sales strategies and specifications for renovation projects.
• Aid in site visits to assess renovation or remodeling progress and ensure design integrity.
• Participate in client meetings to present design concepts and gather feedback.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure all documentation complies with industry standards.

Experience

• Proven experience or internship in interior design or related fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in Interior Design software is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of drafting techniques, color theory, lighting sales, renovation processes, construction practices, and budgeting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with project management tools and concepts related to interior design projects.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles including lighting design, remodeling, and construction coordination.
