Interior Design Assistant (Kitchen, Bath, Lower Level)

J&J Contractors I LLC is a NARI award-winning, family-owned interior and exterior remodeling company specializing in high-quality home transformations. We are seeking a detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to support our Design Team and assist with coordinating selections and project information from concept through construction.

This role focuses on supporting the Design Team through organization, documentation, and internal coordination in a fast-paced remodeling environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Design Team by coordinating and documenting project selections
  • Input and maintain accurate project selections and documentation in BuilderTrend
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, layouts, specifications, and drawings
  • Coordinate information between designers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Review selections and pricing with Designers prior to finalization
  • Prepare and process change orders and pricing updates
  • Maintain accurate product lists and technical specifications
  • Track cost variances and coordinate pricing updates with vendors
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain current product samples and displays
  • Assist with routine project activities such as deliveries and site visits
  • Schedule vendor meetings for Designers as needed
  • Maintain organized project records for team access
  • Participate in weekly Design Team meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with computers and web-based systems
  • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time , On-site)
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Construction or remodeling experience
  • Experience working with vendors or suppliers
  • Experience with BuilderTrend or similar project management systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
