Scottsdale Community College’s Center of Excellence in Interior Design, home to Arizona’s longest-running interior design program, is seeking a full-time Residential Interior Design Faculty member beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will teach advanced residential design studios, including upper-level residential and kitchen and bath design courses. Strong expertise in interior design technology and construction documentation is required. The faculty member will guide students through complex residential projects from concept through presentation and technical documentation. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include curriculum development, student mentorship, assessment, and service to the program, student club, department, college, and design community.
To best serve the students, department, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus, with the possibility of partial remote work depending on business needs.

Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught
OR
Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor’s degree or higher
OR
A Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field
OR
A Master’s degree of higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field
OR
A Master’s degree of higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field
