Interior Design Internship

Job Overview
Margaret Baird Interiors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a design student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative design environment.

The intern will assist with day-to-day studio tasks while gaining exposure to all phases of the design process. Margaret Baird Interiors is a boutique high end residential interior design firm servicing all of San Diego as well as out of state projects.

Duties

• Vendor outreach for estimates, product information, and order tracking
• Assisting with pick-up of samples / purchases from vendors, and running local errands.
• Completing CAD drawings and space planning
• Creating 3D visuals and renderings for client viewing
• Organization of samples and maintaining the materials library
• Assisting Design Assistant with prepping orders and estimates
• Supporting the team during installations and project styling
• Assisting with on-site measuring appointments and in-person client meetings
• General studio support as needed

Skills

• Currently pursuing or received a degree in Interior Design or related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, or other Rendering software
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
