Interior Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer with 8-10 years of proven experience within the interior fit-out or real estate development industry. This role is fully site-based and requires strong exposure from tender and design development through to post-contract execution . The ideal candidate must be capable of working closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality interior spaces aligned with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage interior design scope from concept, tender submissions, design detailing, value engineering, to post-contract execution .
• Review tender drawings, specifications, and BOQs; prepare technical proposals for tendering.
• Coordinate with architects, structural & MEP teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless delivery of onsite requirements.
• Conduct material research and prepare mood boards, material selections, and sample presentations.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for design accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspect workmanship, and ensure adherence to approved design and quality standards.
• Support project management teams during procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
• Manage design changes, RFIs, and site instruction approvals during project execution.
• Ensure project delivery within planned timelines and budget without compromising design intent.
• Liaise with clients and consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design / architecture or related field.
• 8-10 years’ experience in interior design and site execution, ideally with a reputable interior fit-out contractor .
• Strong understanding of tender process, IFC drawings, post-contract execution, materials, and detailing .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (preferred), Photoshop, and MS Office tools.
• Excellent site coordination, communication, technical review, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
• Must be willing to travel to various project sites across UAE.

Preferred Experience

• Residential, hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use project interiors.
• Exposure to design-build environments.
