Elms Interior Design is seeking a highly organized, proactive Product Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to manage the purchasing, tracking, delivery of furnishings, finishes, lighting, and décor for high-end residential and/or commercial interior design projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and décor from domestic and international vendors
- Prepare and issue purchase orders; confirm pricing, lead times, and specifications
- Track orders from placement through final delivery and installation
- Coordinate freight, white-glove delivery, warehousing, and installation logistics
- Monitor backorders, delays, damages, and discrepancies; resolve issues proactively
- Reconcile vendor invoices and collaborate with accounting on billing and approvals
- Maintain detailed procurement logs, order trackers, and project documentation
- Communicate regularly with designers, vendors, workrooms, and clients as needed
- Support project timelines by anticipating and mitigating supply chain risks
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, operations, or project coordination (design, construction, or hospitality experience a plus)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable working with vendors, freight companies, and installation teams
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with design software (Studio Designer, Design Manager, Ivy, or similar) is a plus
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and unflappable when shipments go sideways
- Clear communicator with a professional, client-facing demeanor
