Interior Design Purchasing Coordinator

Established more than 30 years ago in Annapolis, MD — and with offices in New York, NY, Washington, DC, Charlottesville, VA, and Middleburg, VA — Purple Cherry Architecture & Interiors is a high-end custom residential architecture and interior design firm serving clients across the country.

We seek a driven, highly organized, and flexible Interior Design Coordinator with ideally least two years of experience supporting an interior design practice to join our fast-paced New York office. Please note that this is not a design position; it is a support position that focuses on procurement, reconciliation, library oversight, and office management. Ideal candidates will be familiar with Studio Designer and DesignFiles software. Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and salary requirements.

Key Responsibilities
To perform this role successfully, you must demonstrate strong attention to detail, professionalism, and follow-through. Responsibilities include:

• Procurement Management: Coordinate all aspects of the ordering process — place and track orders, complete vendor documentation, obtain COM pricing, and oversee resolution of damage claims.
• Financial Coordination: Partner with the accounting team to reconcile invoices and credit card statements accurately and on schedule.
• Library Oversight: Curate and maintain the design library — manage samples, liaise with vendor representatives to update discontinued materials, and ensure all installation tools and materials are properly stocked.
• Studio Operations: Support daily office functions, maintain an orderly and well-stocked studio environment, and assist with general administrative needs as they arise.
