Interior Designer

Overview
Our family owned and operated business is seeking a new interior designer to join our accomplished design team. Our design center operates in conjunction with our fabric store to offer upholstery and drapery solutions for our retail clients. Our design center also offers design services to our retail clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for interior design projects.
• Develop design concepts and present them to clients using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for interior design projects including drapery, curtains, window treatments, and reupholstery
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while adhering to quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution of designs.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to designs as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to interior design.
• Assist in lighting design and sales for various projects, incorporating effective color theory into designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software.
• Understanding measurements for drapery and reupholstery to provide proper yardage estimates.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of contracts related to interior design projects is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions and collaboration with team members.
• Familiarity with Hunter Douglass is a big plus!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 – 37.5 per week
