This is an office-based role located at our corporate headquarters in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Located 1 mile from downtown Louisville. Founded in 2008, Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in the development, design, construction, and property management of multi-family, senior living and industrial assets. Since 2012, Denton Floyd has strategically grown to develop and manage over 13,000 units in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee and are targeting approximately $1.1 billion (3,945+ units) in new developments over the next several years.

Job Description:

Vector Design Group is looking for a talented and motivated Interior Designer for an entry level position. The ideal person for this role will have an exceptional creative design portfolio and will collaborate with the team in all phases of project design with a focus on conceptual design, programming, space planning, documentation, procurement, and selection of materials and finishes. We are looking for creative, motivated, and curious design talent with a passion for architecture, interior design, and the built environment. Responsibilities Include:

• Work alongside Architects, Developers, outside consultants and Construction managers to find the best design solution to meet the client’s needs.
• Produce design drawings, presentation drawings and construction documents to convey design intent.
• Work under close supervision and receive instruction and mentoring regarding tasks and management.
• Perform interior design assignments and work collaboratively with others toward design solutions.
• Communicate with clients on design intent and progress.
• Programming and space planning
• Develop color and materials palettes.
• Prepare and review construction documents.
• Keep up to date with products by attending manufacturer representative meetings.

Qualities Desired in Successful Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
• Professional experience is beneficial but not required – a creative curiosity is.
• Previous experience with the production of design documentation would be valuable.
• Revit proficiency as well as knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, required.
• A basic understanding of architectural design, interior design, and construction principles.
• Have good communication and graphic skills along with physical and digital modeling and rendering.
