Interior Designer

Location: Idlewild area of Charlotte, NC

Hours: 20–40 hours/week

Pay: Based on experience

Start Date: ASAP

I’m looking for an in-person Interior Designer in Charlotte to help bring a new Airbnb project to life. This role is perfect for someone who loves bold, thoughtful, guest-focused design and wants to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with overall design direction for a new short-term rental project
• Helping select paint colors, finishes, furniture, and décor
• Sourcing, ordering, and tracking furniture and supplies
• Staging rooms, styling spaces, and helping install furnishings
• Working on-site at the property to set up and bring the design vision to life
• Collaborating directly with me throughout the design & setup process

What I’m Looking For

• Someone hands-on, self-motivated, and able to take initiative without constant direction
• Experience in interior design or staging
• Strong sense of color, layout, and styling
• Organized with the ability to juggle design decisions, ordering, and on-site prep
• Comfortable working in-person 20–40 hours/week depending on project needs
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• A great eye for detail — from picking the right rug to art placement and bedding

Requirements

• Must be based in the Charlotte area
• Must be available to work on-site in the Idlewild neighborhood
• Must provide examples of past design or staging work
• Must be comfortable doing both creative and hands-on tasks (unboxing, moving light furniture, etc.)

Bonus If You Have

• Short-term rental design experience
• Experience managing install days
• Familiarity with ordering platforms (Wayfair, Amazon, etc.)
