Goedecke Design Center in Bedford, NH is looking to hire an Interior Designer to join their Sales/Design team. What We Offer:

Hourly Range: $25 to $36 (based on experience)
Full Time: 40 hrs./5-day work week (Monday to Saturday)
- 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Must be able to work every other Saturday
2-4 weeks paid training & mentorship program

Responsibilities:

This role will report to the Department Supervisor
Provide outstanding service to determine customer's overall design needs
Build client relationships & conduct consistent follow ups with new/existing customers
Collaborate with a team of design & product professionals
Schedule consultation appointments to visit customer's homes or workplace to provide product & design advice
Create beautiful designs & provide suggestions to make client's love their spaces
Keep up to date on the wide selection of window treatments, draperies (including automation) & flooring products
Continually grow overall understanding of services & materials used in interior design projects
Maintain showroom by keeping samples, displays, and pricing updated.
Gather space/area measurements (occasionally a ladder will be required), provide sample suggestions, create & present project estimate/proposals, perform quality control during active projects
Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability & order materials for active projects
Collect/process customer payments & enter order details within POS system
Answer phone systems when needed & direct calls to the appropriate department

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-4 years' proven work experience in Interior Design or similar role
Associate or bachelor's degree in interior design or a similar field (REQUIRED)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & math skills (REQUIRED)
Proper phone etiquette
Strong personal & professional judgment
A positive attitude & desire to exceed expectations
Exceptional critical thinking & problem-solving ability
Ability to adapt & respond quickly to customers' needs/wants
Strong organizational skills & the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
Ability to achieve sales goals effectively
Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Advanced time management skills & detailed oriented
Ability to create project estimates a plus (Willing to train)
Knowledge of window covering & flooring industry a plus (Willing to train)
Knowledge of remodeling projects a plus (Willing to train)
