Interior Designer

UAQ projects

Role Overview
The Interior Designer will support the interior design team in developing design concepts, preparing drawings and documentation, and assisting in the delivery of interior design packages that meet functional, aesthetic, cost, and quality requirements—while adhering to UAQ standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing interior design concepts aligned with project briefs, UAQ standards, and design guidelines

Support preparation of schematic and detailed drawings, specifications, and material selections

Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to gather inputs and implement feedback

Prepare new proposals and modify existing interior design drawings as required

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and samples under supervision and assist in compiling comments

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of design deliverables

Support site coordination activities, including RFIs and site inspections when required

Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and project correspondence

Stay updated on materials, finishes, and interior design industry trends
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field

Minimum
3 years of professional experience
in interior design projects

Proficiency in
AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite

Basic understanding of design documentation, FF&E, and construction processes

Strong communication and coordination skills

Ability to work collaboratively and manage assigned tasks effectively
