At Collected Living Design, we blend design and remodeling to create curated homes that support well-being and family life. We are looking for an Interior Designer who can manage residential design projects from concept to completion while helping keep our studio and materials organized and running smoothly.

This is not just a creative role. It is a leadership-in-development role.

What We Really Need (The Big Outcomes)

  • Design and present cohesive concepts aligned with the Collected Living aesthetic• Support projects from initial space planning through final installation• Keep projects, materials, samples, and studio systems organized and flowing• Grow into confidently leading design projects independently

Key Responsibilities

Design & Client Experience• Develop design concepts, proposals, and presentations aligned with our aesthetic• Guide clients on space planning, layout, and color coordination• Support sourcing, pricing, specifications, furniture layouts, and selections• Gather and organize samples and materials for client meetings• Assist or lead with installations including furnishings, artwork placement, window treatments, and supervising handyman tasks in a client’s home• Participate in client meetings and site visits across the Kansas City area

Studio Operations & Organization• Maintain detailed organization of project materials, client items, and samples• Assist in organizing incoming packages• Keep the studio clean, orderly, and thoughtfully maintained• Reorganize systems when needed to improve efficiency• Run errands and pick up or deliver materials as needed

Marketing & Creative Support• Assist with client events• Capture site visit images and videos for social media content

Must-Haves (Skills, Not Just Experience)

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail• A genuine passion for traditional interior design and Collected Living’s aesthetic• Ability to manage multiple projects and moving parts simultaneously• Proactive and dependable — you take initiative rather than wait to be told• Professional and client-focused in communication• Willingness to accept feedback and grow

Location & Schedule

This role requires on-site work at our studio in Liberty, Missouri, along with site visits and vendor appointments throughout Kansas City. Our studio hours are Monday through Friday 8-4:30pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
