Strata Homes is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer – Custom Homes to join our growing team in St. George, Utah. This role will work closely with our homebuyers, architects, and construction team to help bring beautiful custom homes to life through thoughtful design selections and cohesive interior concepts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who enjoys working directly with clients and collaborating with a high-end residential construction team.

The position will begin part-time with the expectation of growing into a full-time role as our interior design department expands.

Strata Homes is a luxury custom home builder based in St. George, Utah, specializing in high-quality homes typically ranging from $1.5M to $3M. Our team builds approximately 15–20 custom homes each year, focusing on exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and an outstanding client experience.

Responsibilities

The Interior Designer will play a key role in guiding clients through the design process and helping them make selections that align with their style, budget, and the overall vision of their home.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct client design consultations to understand style preferences and project goals
• Guide homeowners through interior finish selections
• Assist homeowners in selecting finishes such as cabinetry, flooring, tile, lighting, paint, plumbing fixtures, and hardware
• Create Design Books to visually present interior design concepts and selections
• Coordinate design decisions with architects and the construction team
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Assist in organizing and managing selections packages for each project
• Track design selections and deadlines to support the construction schedule
• Ensure design selections remain cohesive with the architectural vision of each home

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have experience in residential interior design and a passion for working directly with homeowners.

Qualifications include:

• 1+ years of residential interior design experience
• Interior Design degree preferred
• Strong visual design skills and understanding of interior materials and finishes
• Ability to communicate design ideas clearly with clients and team members
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Software & Technical Skills

Preferred experience with:

• Microsoft Office
• Canva
• General comfort working with digital design tools and presentations

Portfolio

A portfolio of previous residential design work is preferred and may be requested during the interview process.

Position Details

Location: St. George, Utah
Work Environment: In-Office
Employment Type: Part-time (expected to grow into full-time)
Compensation: $20–$30 per hour depending on experience
