Interior Designer

Rockwell Architecture, Planning and Design, P.C. dba Rockwell Group seeks an Interior Designer in New York, NY. Job duties include: Develop interior design concepts and prepare detailed drawings and 3D models, including installation diagrams and floor plans. Research, curate, and select furniture, fixtures, lighting, textiles, and materials aligned with project design narratives, budgets, and performance requirements. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior elements with architectural and building systems. Manage vendor sourcing, procurement, and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of design components. Present FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) concepts and materials to clients to confirm alignment with aesthetic and functional goals.

Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field and at least two years of professional experience working in interior design. Must have at least two years of experience conceptualizing and producing 3D models for design projects. Must have at least two years of experience designing custom furniture pieces, including sourcing, selecting, and evaluating materials and finishes to meet client design specifications and functional requirements. Must have at least two years of experience communicating with and presenting design concepts to clients. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign, Illustrator, Revit, and Rhinoceros 3D. Annual salary: $65,374.
