Interior Designer

Job Description:

Large real estate development company established in 1951 and located in Edison NJ/Metropark requires a person to undertake interior design duties. This person is to be involved in design work for projects consisting of 1,000,000 sf of office projects and 2,000 multifamily dwelling unit projects.

Candidate to have experience and knowledge in design and an understanding of the construction process. Work would involve the following abilities:

-Develop space plans, design concepts and sample boards

-Select materials, finishes and overall décor intent

-Create sketches, drawings and renderings

-Create schematic design drawings, design drawing level and finally construction drawings.

-Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch up, Revit or similar, Excel, Project, Outlook and familiarity with estimating

-Architectural and design background or education

-Ability to read and understand construction plans including Architectural, Mechanical

-Knowledge or familiarity with construction means and methods and trades

-Communicate with the tenants, vendors and contractors

Candidate to have at least 1 to 5 years of experience or equivalent educational experience.
