Interior Designer

INTERIOR DESIGNER (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a versatile Interior Designer to join our team in designing dynamic, functional spaces for multifamily residential clients. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional who has outgrown the "Junior" title and is ready to take greater ownership of the design process. You will work with increased autonomy while collaborating with our lead designers to bridge the gap between creative concept and technical execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT: Independently develop design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations under the guidance of lead designers to translate client goals into compelling narratives.

2. PROJECT COORDINATION: Act as a key point of contact for external consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure design intent is carried through every project phase.

3. ADVANCED SPECIFICATIONS: Lead the selection and detailed documentation of FF&E, finishes, and custom millwork, ensuring accuracy in specification books.

4. TECHNICAL PRODUCTION: Produce and self-review comprehensive construction drawing sets (plans, elevations, and details) for accuracy and code compliance.

5. PRESENTATION SUPPORT: Take an active role in client meetings, confidently presenting design options and materials.

6. CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION: Review RFI’s and Submittals and perform site visits and surveys independently to document field conditions and ensure quality control during installation.

REQUIREMENTS

1. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3–5 years of applicable experience in an interior design or architecture firm, preferably with exposure to multifamily or commercial sectors.

2. SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY: Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Experience with 3D rendering (e.g., Enscape or Lumion) is a plus.

3. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Proven ability to move projects from schematic design through construction documentation with minimal oversight on standard details.

4. OWNERSHIP MINDSET: Demonstrated ability to manage project deadlines and multiple tasks simultaneously with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

5. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

6. PORTFOLIO: A professional portfolio that highlights both creative design work and technical documentation.
