Interior Designer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget constraints, translating concepts into compelling design solutions.
• Develop detailed design plans using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite to create accurate layouts, renderings, and presentations.
• Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including drafting plans, specifications, and contract details using Bluebeam and CAD tools.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings by applying principles of color theory and lighting design to enhance space ambiance.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while coordinating with contractors during renovation or remodeling phases.
• Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress, ensure design fidelity, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during implementation.
• Prepare proposals for lighting sales projects and assist in sales efforts by showcasing design concepts that meet client needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in drafting, rendering, and project execution.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (3ds Max), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator), Bluebeam, and other CAD software.
• Solid understanding of interior design principles including color theory, lighting design, space planning, and remodeling techniques.
• Experience managing projects from conception through completion with skills in project management and budgeting.
• Knowledge of contracts negotiation and construction processes to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members while maintaining professional standards.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
