Gramophone Design Build is seeking a talented and driven Interior Designer to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD.

Position Summary

The Interior Designer will lead clients through the entire design-build process—from initial concept through project completion—creating thoughtful, customized spaces that exceed expectations. This role requires a balance of strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and sales acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through the design process, developing creative and functional solutions tailored to their needs
  • Drive design-led sales with the ability to influence decisions and successfully close projects
  • Develop space plans, material selections, and cohesive design concepts
  • Prepare project estimates, proposals, and contracts
  • Produce detailed construction documentation for design implementation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and trade partners to ensure successful project execution
  • Maintain strong client communication and deliver polished presentations
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining organization, timelines, and budgets

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Proven experience in residential interior design, with a strong focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and home renovations
  • Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design, Revit, or similar
  • Strong understanding of color theory, materials, and spatial planning
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities
  • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust and close projects
