Interior Designer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar for an Interior Designer. The Interior Designer will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces by designing layouts, selecting appropriate materials and furnishings, and working closely with clients to understand and fulfill their requirements. Key responsibilities include space planning, developing construction drawings, sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure designs are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative interior design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials for VVIP villas, palaces, and luxury residences.
• Prepare detailed space planning layouts, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and interior detailing drawings.
• Produce high-quality 3D visualizations, renderings, and design presentations for client approvals.
• Select and specify luxury materials, finishes, fabrics, lighting fixtures, furniture, artwork, and decorative accessories.
• Design bespoke interiors incorporating classical, contemporary, Arabic, Islamic, European, and royal design themes as required.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, landscape designers, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and ensure design intent is maintained throughout execution.
• Prepare FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) schedules and specifications.
• Coordinate custom furniture design, millwork detailing, joinery works, marble finishes, decorative ceilings, and luxury fit-out elements.
• Attend client meetings and presentations, incorporating feedback into design development.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Stay updated with international luxury design trends, materials, and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 8- 10 years of experience in Palaces & VIP Interior Design Projects based in Qatar with transferable QID ready for immediate joining UPDA certified, and Arabic Speaker is recommended
• Having experience in handling high-end materials, bespoke furniture, and luxury finishes
• Ability to manage design coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors on high-profile projects
• Expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning
• Experience with Architecture and Construction Drawings
• Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) sourcing and selection
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant tools
• Strong creativity and attention to detail in design execution
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills
• Demonstrated experience in professional interior design or similar roles
• Subject to the Client's Requirements Female Candidate with Arabic Speaking is recommended
