One Design Lab, Inc. is a full-service architecture, interior design, and construction firm based in Los Angeles. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of conceptual design and space planning
- Support senior designers and architects with construction documents and drawing sets
- Participate in client meetings and assist with incorporating feedback into design
- Conduct site visits to gather as-built conditions and verify construction progress
- Help coordinate with engineers and consultants
- Learn about and apply local building codes and ADA accessibility requirements
- Assist with city and county permit applications under supervision
- Support project team with redlines and revisions to construction drawings
- Help track submittals, RFIs, and responses during construction administration
- Participate in organizing and maintaining project files, drawings, and other documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design (required)
- 1–3 years of professional experience in an architectural or design office
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Basic knowledge of building codes and ADA standards (California preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn
- Interest in commercial projects, especially restaurant and hospitality design
- Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA 90057 before starting work (required)
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interior concepts, space plans, and design presentations
- Create finish plans, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and interior details
- Prepare materials boards, finish schedules, material take-offs and obtaining quotes from vendors for pricing
- Producing high quality design drawings and 3D rendering images
- Conduct site visits to verify conditions, take field measurements, and support installation coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, fabricators, vendors, and contractors throughout the design and construction process
- Maintain organized records of materials, samples, and design documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field (required)
- 1–3 years of professional experience in interior design office
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Knowledge of interior materials, FF&E, finish specifications, and procurement
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn
