Interior Designer – Custom Cabinetry, Closets & Millwork

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer specializing in Custom Cabinetry, Closets, and Millwork to join our team. In this role, you will transform client visions into refined, functional spaces through a balance of creative design and technical expertise.

You will be involved in projects from concept through installation, designing custom kitchens, built-ins, and closet systems that elevate both residential and commercial environments. This is a paid position offering the opportunity to work on design-driven, custom projects with a strong emphasis on quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals
• Design custom cabinetry, kitchens, closets, and millwork solutions
• Develop design concepts, layouts, and 3D visualizations using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Produce detailed drawings, elevations, and shop drawings for fabrication
• Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and lighting integration
• Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage timelines and assist with budgeting to ensure project efficiency
• Review shop drawings and fabrication details to ensure accuracy and quality
• Support client presentations with clear, compelling design proposals

Requirements

• Proven experience in custom cabinetry, closets, or millwork design
• Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar)
• Ability to produce technical drawings and construction-ready documentation
• Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methods
• Knowledge of space planning, storage solutions, and kitchen functionality
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-end residential or custom projects
• Familiarity with fabrication and installation processes
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Docusign, InDesign, Illustrator)
