Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and student-focused Interior Design Faculty member to join our academic team. The successful candidate will teach and mentor undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, develop and deliver quality curriculum, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our interior design program

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

  • Deliver engaging lectures, studio sessions, workshops, and practical classes in core interior design subjects, including spatial design, materials, lighting, color theory, and professional practice.
  • Assess student performance through projects, presentations, portfolios, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
  • Guide and mentor students on design projects, ensuring a balance of creativity, technical proficiency, and critical thinking.

Curriculum Development

  • Develop and update course materials and lesson plans that reflect current industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with faculty peers to review and enhance curriculum, learning outcomes, and assessment practices.

Industry Engagement

  • Stay updated with latest interior design methodologies, tools, sustainable practices, and technologies.
  • Facilitate workshops, invite industry professionals for guest lectures, and create networking opportunities for students.

Academic Contribution

  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning initiatives.
  • Support institutional events, exhibitions, and student showcases as required

Qualifications

Academic

  • Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Master Diploma / Diploma.
  • Prior teaching experience in a higher education environment is preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional teaching practice in interior design, with a strong portfolio of design work.
  • Experience in curriculum development and mentorship is desirable.

Software & Technical Proficiency

Proficient in industry-standard design and visualization software including, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and 3D modeling/rendering tools (e.g., 3ds Max, Rhino, Lumion)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 12 per week
