Interior Designer – Fit-Out (Job Description)

Role Summary:
The Interior Designer is responsible for developing creative, functional, and practical design solutions for interior fit-out projects. The role involves preparing design concepts, detailed drawings, material selections, and coordinating with project teams to ensure smooth execution according to client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop creative interior design concepts and mood boards for residential, commercial, and retail fit-out projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings including layouts, elevations, sections, joinery details, and 3D renderings.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and color schemes.
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and convert them into design solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, draftsmen, and site teams during project execution.
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, DCD, and other local authority regulations.
• Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and presentations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure quality and accuracy.
• Work with suppliers for materials, samples, and quotations.
• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting of design elements.
• Modify designs based on client and management feedback.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior fit-out (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of materials, joinery work, and fit-out execution.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp/3ds Max, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
